The Tamworth School Board will hold a Public Hearing on its proposed fiscal year 2026-2027 Budget and 2026 School District Warrant.
The Public Hearing will be held on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.

The Freedom School Board will hold a Public Hearing on its proposed Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Budget and 2026 School District Warrant.
The Public Hearing will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the
Freedom Elementary School.

Following is a list of positions open for election on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.; The filing period for interested candidates is January 21, 2026 through January 30, 2026.
School Clerk One position for 1 year term
School Moderator One position for 1 year term
School Treasurer One position for 1 year term
School Board Member Two positions for 3 year terms
The Town Clerk's Office is open to receive filings Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The office will be open on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 3:00p PM until 5:00 PM

The filing period for vacancies for School District elected positions will commence on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 and run through Friday, January 30, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. The following positions are open for filing:
One (1) Moderator – one (1) year term
Two (2) School Board Members – three (3) year terms
One (1) Auditor – one (1) year term
One (1) Clerk – one (1) year term
Filings can be made with the Town Clerk on Monday 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, Tuesday 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, Wednesdays 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Thursdays 11:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Also through the School District Clerk, Kim Reis.

School Administrative Unit #13 includes the School Board Districts of Madison, Tamworth and Freedom. It was initially formed in 1991 in an effort to promote excellence in our educational programs and our school districts. In the twenty plus years of existence we have worked on initiatives such as: teacher evaluation, curriculum mapping, project based learning and Understanding by Design. Together we have developed curriculum, standards and benchmarks in all of the content areas.
