TAMWORTH SCHOOL DISTRICT
TAMWORTH SCHOOL BOARD
PUBLIC HEARING
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2026
Notice is hereby given in accordance with NH RSA 40:14 that the Tamworth School Board will conduct a hearing to receive public comment to consider adopting the provisions of RSA 40:13 official ballot referendum form of meeting (known as SB 2) to allow official ballot voting on all issues before the Tamworth School District on the second Tuesday of March.
The Tamworth School Board has placed the following question on the 2026 annual school warrant:
ARTICLE 10: Shall we adopt the provisions of RSA 40:13 (known as SB 2) to allow official ballot voting on all issues before the Tamworth School District on the second Tuesday of March? (3/5-majority ballot vote required)
The public hearing will be held at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at the KA Brett School Cafeteria, 881 Tamworth Road, Tamworth, NH 03886.

The Freedom School Board will hold a Public Hearing on its proposed Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Budget and 2026 School District Warrant.
The Public Hearing will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the
Freedom Elementary School, Meeting Room

School Administrative Unit #13 includes the School Board Districts of Madison, Tamworth and Freedom. It was initially formed in 1991 in an effort to promote excellence in our educational programs and our school districts. In the twenty plus years of existence we have worked on initiatives such as: teacher evaluation, curriculum mapping, project based learning and Understanding by Design. Together we have developed curriculum, standards and benchmarks in all of the content areas.
